How to Make a Fake Watermelon
Making a fake watermelon is a great way to add a unique and creative touch to your home decor. Whether you’re looking for something to spruce up your kitchen counter or want to create a centerpiece for your dining table, this craft project is sure to make an impression.
To make a fake watermelon, you will need the following materials:
- Styrofoam ball (size of your choice)
- Green acrylic paint
- Red acrylic paint
- White craft glue
- Black felt pen
- Green tissue paper
- White cardstock paper
Painting the Styrofoam Ball:
Begin by painting the entire Styrofoam ball with green acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Creating the Watermelon Seeds:
Cut small circles out of white cardstock paper and glue them onto the Styrofoam ball using white craft glue. Once all of the circles are in place, use a black felt pen to draw lines around each circle, creating the look of watermelon seeds.
Adding Red Paint:
Use red acrylic paint and a paintbrush to add streaks of red paint onto the Styrofoam ball. This will give it a realistic watermelon look.
