How to Cut a Watermelon into Balls

Watermelon is a delicious and refreshing summertime treat. It’s also incredibly versatile, as it can be cut into cubes, wedges, or even balls! Cutting watermelon into balls is a great way to make it easier to eat and more visually appealing. Here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Prepare the Watermelon

Start by washing the outside of the watermelon with soap and water. Then, cut off both ends of the watermelon so that you have two flat surfaces. Place one of the flat surfaces on a cutting board.

Step 2: Cut the Watermelon in Half

Using a sharp knife, cut the watermelon in half lengthwise. This will give you two long halves that are easier to work with.

Step 3: Cut Each Half Into Slices

Cut each half of the watermelon into slices about 1/2 inch thick. You should end up with 8-10 slices per half.

Step 4: Cut Each Slice Into Triangles

Take each slice and cut it into triangles. Make sure that each triangle has a flat base so that it can stand upright when placed on a plate.

Step 5: Cut Each Triangle Into Balls

Finally, take each triangle and cut it into small balls. You can use either a melon baller or a sharp knife for this step. Once all of your triangles have been cut into balls, your watermelon is ready to serve!
