Luke’s Writings in the Bible
Luke is one of the four Gospel writers in the Bible. He wrote two books, the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Both books are part of the New Testament and were written by Luke around 80-90 AD.
The Gospel of Luke
The Gospel of Luke is a narrative account of Jesus’ life and ministry. It includes stories about Jesus’ birth, his teachings, his miracles, and his death and resurrection. It also includes parables and other teachings from Jesus that are unique to this book.
Acts of the Apostles
The Acts of the Apostles is a historical account of the early church after Jesus’ ascension. It tells the story of how Christianity spread throughout the Roman Empire and beyond. It also includes accounts of some of the apostles’ missionary journeys and their encounters with persecution.
