Changing the Fine Blade on a Cricut

The Cricut is a versatile cutting machine that can be used to create intricate designs and shapes. It uses a fine blade to cut through materials such as paper, vinyl, fabric, and more. Over time, the blade may become dull or damaged and need to be replaced. Here are the steps for changing the fine blade on a Cricut.

Step 1: Prepare the Machine

Before you begin, make sure that the Cricut is powered off and unplugged from any power source. Then, open up the lid of the machine and remove any material that may be inside.

Step 2: Remove the Old Blade

Locate the blade holder at the top of the machine. Carefully unscrew it using a Phillips head screwdriver. Once it is loose, pull out the old blade and discard it.

Step 3: Insert New Blade

Take your new fine blade and insert it into the blade holder. Make sure that it is securely in place before tightening the screw back into place.

Step 4: Test Out Your New Blade

Once your new blade is installed, plug in your Cricut and turn it on. Select a test material such as paper or cardstock and run it through your machine. If everything looks good, you’re ready to start creating!
