The Voice of Tweety Bird

Tweety Bird is a beloved cartoon character from the Looney Tunes franchise. He is a small yellow canary with an innocent, childlike personality and a penchant for getting into trouble. Since his debut in 1942, Tweety has been voiced by several different actors.

Mel Blanc

The first actor to voice Tweety was Mel Blanc, who provided the character’s voice from 1942 until 1989. During this time, Blanc also voiced many other Looney Tunes characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and Sylvester the Cat. His iconic voice work helped to make these characters household names.

Joe Alaskey

After Mel Blanc’s death in 1989, Joe Alaskey took over as the voice of Tweety Bird. Alaskey had already been voicing other Looney Tunes characters since 1983, so he was well-suited for the role. He continued to provide Tweety’s voice until his own death in 2016.

Jeff Bergman

In 2016, Jeff Bergman became the new voice of Tweety Bird. Bergman had previously voiced other Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. He continues to provide the voice of Tweety today.
