How to Make a Bird Call Out of Paper
Making a bird call out of paper is an easy and fun way to make music with your friends. With just a few simple materials, you can create a unique sound that will bring birds flocking to your backyard! Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Gather Materials
You’ll need some paper, scissors, tape, and a marker. You can use any type of paper you have on hand, but thicker paper like cardstock or construction paper will work best.
Step 2: Cut the Paper
Cut the paper into two strips that are about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. Then cut one end of each strip into a point.
Step 3: Tape the Strips Together
Tape the two strips together at the pointed ends so they form an “X” shape. Make sure the tape is secure so the strips don’t come apart when you play them.
Step 4: Mark the Strips
Use the marker to draw lines across each strip. The lines should be spaced evenly apart and should go from one end of the strip to the other. This will help create different tones when you play the bird call.
Step 5: Play Your Bird Call!
Hold one end of each strip in each hand and gently pull them apart. As you do this, move your hands up and down so that the strips rub against each other. This will create a unique sound that will attract birds! Keep experimenting with different motions until you find a sound that works for you.
