Making a Bird Water Dripper

A bird water dripper is an easy and inexpensive way to provide fresh, clean water for your feathered friends. It’s also a great way to attract more birds to your backyard. Here are the steps for making a bird water dripper:

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need a plastic bottle with a lid, a drill or sharp knife, some string or wire, and a container to catch the dripping water. You can use any type of plastic bottle, but it should be at least one liter in size.

Step 2: Make the Hole

Using the drill or knife, make a small hole in the center of the lid. The hole should be big enough for the string or wire to fit through.

Step 3: Attach String or Wire

Thread the string or wire through the hole in the lid and tie it securely. Make sure that the string or wire is long enough so that it hangs down into the container below.

Step 4: Hang Bottle

Hang the bottle from a tree branch or other sturdy structure so that it is above the container. Make sure that the string or wire is taut so that it does not sag.

Step 5: Fill Bottle with Water

Fill the bottle with fresh water and replace the lid. As gravity pulls on the water, it will slowly drip out of the hole in the lid and into the container below.
