How to Knit a Holly Berry
Knitting a holly berry is a great way to add a festive touch to any project. Whether you’re making a holiday-themed scarf, hat, or even an ornament, these little berries will bring some cheer to your knitting. Here’s how to make them:
To knit a holly berry, you’ll need the following materials:
- Yarn in two colors (red and green)
- Knitting needles
- Tapestry needle
Using the red yarn and your knitting needles, cast on 4 stitches.
Knit one row in garter stitch (knit every stitch).
Switch to the green yarn and knit one row in garter stitch.
Switch back to the red yarn and knit one row in garter stitch.
Bind off all stitches.
Cut both yarns, leaving about 6 inches of tail for each color.
Thread the tapestry needle with one of the tails and sew through all four stitches twice. Pull tight to close the berry.
Weave in both ends of yarn securely.
