Halle Berry’s Training for the Movie Bruised
Halle Berry is an Academy Award-winning actress who has starred in a variety of films, including the 2020 movie Bruised. In order to prepare for her role as a mixed martial arts fighter in the film, Berry underwent an intense training regimen.
Berry trained with MMA coach and former UFC fighter Jason Parillo for six months prior to filming. She worked on her striking, grappling, and conditioning skills, as well as learning how to move like a professional fighter. She also worked with stunt coordinator Robert Alonzo to perfect her fight choreography.
Strength and Conditioning
In addition to her MMA training, Berry also worked with strength and conditioning coach Corey Calliet to build up her strength and endurance. She did a combination of weightlifting, plyometrics, and cardio exercises to help her get into fighting shape. She also followed a strict diet plan to ensure she was eating the right foods to fuel her workouts.
Halle Berry put in a lot of hard work and dedication in order to prepare for her role in Bruised. Her intense training regimen included MMA training, strength and conditioning exercises, and following a strict diet plan. All of this hard work paid off when she was able to convincingly portray a professional MMA fighter on screen.
