How to Turn Your Bathtub Into a Dog Bath
Bathing your dog can be a messy and time-consuming task. But with the right supplies, you can easily turn your bathtub into a convenient and comfortable dog bath. Here are some tips for making your bathtub the perfect spot for giving your pup a good scrub.
Gather Supplies
Before you start bathing your pup, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand. You’ll need a non-slip mat or rug to put in the bottom of the tub, a handheld shower head, shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for dogs, towels, and treats for after the bath. Having everything ready ahead of time will make the process much smoother.
Fill the Tub
Once you have all your supplies gathered, fill up the tub with lukewarm water. Make sure it’s not too hot or too cold—you want it to be comfortable for your pup. If you’re using a handheld shower head, attach it to the faucet before getting your pup in the tub.
Start Bathing
Now that everything is set up, it’s time to get started! Wet your pup down with warm water and then apply shampoo from head to tail. Work up a good lather and then rinse thoroughly. Once they’re clean, apply conditioner if desired and rinse again. Finally, use a towel to dry them off as much as possible.
Reward Your Pup
After all that hard work, reward your pup with some treats! This will help them associate bath time with something positive and make future baths easier. And don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back—you just gave your pup an awesome bath!
