Who Does Lonzo Ball Play For?

Lonzo Ball is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA draft. Ball played college basketball for one season with the UCLA Bruins, earning consensus first-team All-American honors before declaring for the draft.

Early Career

Ball began his high school career at Chino Hills High School in California. As a freshman, he averaged 25 points, 11 assists, and 11 rebounds per game. He led Chino Hills to an undefeated 35–0 record and a state championship. As a sophomore, he averaged 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists per game and again led Chino Hills to a state championship.

Professional Career

In June 2017, Ball was selected with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. On July 6, 2017, he signed his rookie scale contract with the Lakers. During his rookie season, Ball averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 assists, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 36 percent from three-point range.

On July 6th 2019, Ball was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of a package deal that sent Anthony Davis to the Los Angeles Lakers. Since joining the Pelicans, Ball has become an integral part of their team and is averaging 14.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
