Types of Vessels Used by the US Army

The US Army has a variety of vessels that are used for different missions. These include amphibious assault ships, which are used to transport troops and equipment to shore; landing craft, which are used to transport personnel and supplies from ship to shore; patrol boats, which are used for coastal surveillance; and mine countermeasure ships, which are used to detect and clear mines in waterways.

The US Army also operates a number of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, such as the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and the C-130 Hercules transport plane. These aircraft are used for a variety of missions, including reconnaissance, search and rescue, medical evacuation, and air support.
