How to Frame an Obtuse Angle

An obtuse angle is an angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees. Framing an obtuse angle can be a tricky task, as it requires precise measurements and careful cutting of the frame material. However, with the right tools and techniques, framing an obtuse angle can be done quickly and easily.

Step 1: Measure the Angle

The first step in framing an obtuse angle is to measure the angle accurately. Use a protractor or other measuring device to determine the exact degree of the angle. This will help you determine how much material you need for the frame.

Step 2: Cut the Frame Material

Once you have measured the angle, you can begin cutting the frame material. Use a miter saw or other cutting tool to cut two pieces of frame material at the same angle as your measured obtuse angle. Make sure that both pieces are cut to exactly the same size and shape.

Step 3: Assemble the Frame

Once you have cut both pieces of frame material, it’s time to assemble them into a frame. Use wood glue or another adhesive to attach one piece of frame material to the other. Make sure that both pieces are aligned correctly before securing them together.

Step 4: Secure the Frame

Finally, use nails or screws to secure the frame together. Make sure that all nails or screws are driven in straight and flush with the surface of the frame material. Once all nails or screws are in place, your obtuse angle frame is complete!
